USB to RS485 converter with galvanic isolation and surge protection is suitable for use wherever is necessary to protect computer or control system against adverse environmental conditions. It can prevent high compensatory currents caused by ground loops or absorb surges inducted in cables. It is also useful for developers who work with unproven systems, where is the risk of damage to computer’s USB port or even injury caused by voltage breakdown at tested device.
